History
The School was built in 1956 and an extension was added in 1974.
In 2000 the school was extended & refurbished to provide a
purpose built nursery, quiet room and staff room.
In 2006 we celebrated our 50th anniversary. Each child was
presented with a commemorative teddy bear. Celebrations
included a reunion for past pupils and staff. Children
enjoyed the 1950s style street party and golden ball.

Commemorative gates were designed and fabricated by a former
pupil. Local businesses, past pupils, former staff,
friends and a heritage grant enabled us to install the gates.
The gates were officially opened in November 2006 by Jane
Davidson, Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning, Welsh
Assembly Government.
